Case Studies
The Technology Lens
- 1Pay: build a mobile app using Ionic to be used for vehicle fleet toll management. Integrate with existing server-side REST API, which was a constant moving target. Re-imagine the UI and do a v2 of the screens as our understanding grew.
- Actyv: mobile app in Ionic React for a fast-moving startup. Very tight delivery timelines.
- Terafina: a large, configurable, customer on-boarding product on Force.com, the Salesforce platform
- Database migration for Edelweiss: migrating 20TB of data, growing 2TB/year, for a centralised data repository, from MS SQL to PostgreSQL. Migrated several thousand lines of stored procedure code. Refactored a batch process to speed it up. Tested with 500+ concurrent interactive user connections hitting a single Postgres database through HikariCP. The application code in dotNet, on MS Windows servers, underwent almost zero modifications.
- UPSDM: a high-performance portal delivering dozens of user transactions/sec, on PostgreSQL, PHP/Laravel, and Perl, on AWS. Provisioned IOPS was essential for throughput. The customer had budgeted for 2.8 million registrations in three years, but we were forced to deliver 4.5 million registrations in two months, and the system delivered flawlessly.
